No rise in hamburger fees

Sheep and beef farmers have indicated their opposition to any significant increase in the levies they pay to Meat & Wool New Zealand.

Farmers are unequivocally telling Meat and Wool NZ to stick their long desired rise in levies and questioning their value.

MWNZ supposedly supports the meat industry. Things like marketing and industry good. It has huge financial reserves, but continues to push for a levy increase. Dairy farmers are being very vocal about the levies they have to stump up. What for? Their cull cows do not require special marketing, going straight to the works for hamburgers.

I wonder if the suits will listen?
