When the lights go out permanently and Helen has long stopped chasing hearses, this is who we will be turning to. By that time the taniwhas will have plenty of swimming holes as the Waikato basin will be inundated in power generating dams from the sea to Taihape. We will one day, thank them for continuing to gain expertise while we sat with our heads in the sand.
